We love nature in our Pitztal valley.
Because we love the uniqueness of our surroundings and act in the knowledge that we have only borrowed nature from our children, responsible sustainability holds a special place in our house.
GREEN SPIRIT
- We are equally passionate about sustainability, climate protection and environmental protection, and we inspire our own employees and our guests alike.
- Our staff are encouraged to actively convince our guests of this valuable mission and, for example, to remind them warmly, politely – but with a touch of sustainability – during towel changes, room cleaning or bed linen changes, that you and we could – now – live this moment.
ROOMS/BATHROOMS
- All care and shower products are skin-friendly and pH-neutral.
- All our apartments are cleaned and maintained using environmentally friendly cleaning products.
- We use bulk containers and then decant them into smaller bottles.
- You can decide how often and when your room is cleaned – via the GREEN OPTION on our Suitepad – helping the environment with the touch of a button.
- Towels are changed upon request.
- Our toothbrush cups in the rooms are made from recycled paper.
TECHNOLOGY
- We regularly clean and maintain all technical equipment: Dusty cooling fins on heaters, porous, cracked seals on minibars, in refrigerators and freezers, or dirty condensers cause high energy consumption. We check for these issues weekly.
- We ensure the cleanliness and smooth operation of all technical equipment through servicing and cleaning.
LOCAL COLOR
- We source our food from local suppliers.
- We appreciate the seasonal differences and adjust our cuisine accordingly.
- Our employees mostly come from the town, from the valley.
- We stand by our social, socio-political and economic responsibility in a valley where development simply progresses a little more slowly.
- Our well water in the restaurant is environmentally friendly, as we can produce mineral and still water ourselves using a treatment plant in the Panorama Alpin – thus saving on transport, delivery and empty bottle costs.
- Our beer "Starkenberger" comes from the neighboring town of Imst, where it is produced and bottled.
WATER
- Even though our water flows from the mountains, we have installed water-saving shower heads and aerators at the sinks.
ENERGY AND HEATING
- Our heating system is powered exclusively by pellets.
- Our electricity is generated exclusively from hydropower.
- Thanks to LED lighting, we save an average of up to 27% on energy costs.
- Intelligent room controls regulate a comfortable room temperature independently of staff (Smart Home/HomeMatic). By ventilating properly, you, as our guest, can actively contribute to conserving resources.
WASTE SEPARATION AND DISPOSAL
- We have integrated a modern waste separation and recycling system.
- The food waste is professionally collected and converted back into environmentally friendly energy by a biogas plant.
